**POSTION SUMMARY**:
Reporting to the Manager of Activity Services & Adult Day Program, the Enrichment Lead supports the maintenance of a range of programming and services that enhance the resident experience. The position is also responsible for the coordination and maintenance of the Volunteer Program and provides outreach support to the Charitable Foundation to engage community partnerships.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Activity Services**:

- Provides assistance as required with programming and services.
- Participates in departmental meetings to establish, review, and revise goals and objectives.
- Assists in the ongoing development of activation policies and procedures.
- Serves as a resource in the planning / coordination of special staff events and workplace celebrations and participates as a member of the Social Club.
- Coordinates cooperative education placements.
- Liaisons with the interdisciplinary team and family members as demonstrated by participating at Resident Care Conferences.
- Provides leadership to the Activity staff and 400 Club in the absence of the Manager, Activity Services.

**Volunteer Program**:

- Reviews annually the number and types of volunteers required to meet the Volunteer support needs.
- Organizes volunteer supported programs in partnership with Activities, Nursing and Dietary to support resident strengths, interests and needs.
- Maintains a strong, diverse, multi-skilled volunteer force to support resident programs.
- Recruit, interview, screen potential volunteers to determine their suitability for and commitment to the facility’srequirements.
- Organize appropriate recognition events for volunteers including an annual recognition program.
- Train and orientate new volunteers.
- Co-ordinate and maintain educational and training programs for facility volunteers.
- Monitor and evaluate the activities of volunteers on an ongoing basis; provide feedback and coachingto active volunteers.
- Maintain all documentation required to manage the Volunteer Program.

**Psychosocial Wellness**
- Identify resident challenges and identify strategies for improving psychosocial interventions, best practices, and resident outcomes.
- Develop education/recreational programs and policies assisting residents to achieve optimal psychosocial and social functioning
- Provide advocacy where the resident/family is unable to do so in the role of a client representative.

**Cassellholme Charitable Foundation**
- Collaborate and partner with team members across departments to develop the Charitable Foundation profile and egage community support.
- Collaborate with the Manager of Activity Services & other stakeholders to develop partnerships and conduct fundraising to support the Homes charitable vision and strategy;
- Plan, create, and share Charitable Foundation content on all social media channels drive overall brand awareness and increase engagement.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION**
- Post secondary education (degree or diploma) in recreation / leisure studies, social service or equivalent human services program of study.
- Successful completion of an Accredited Volunteer Management Program Certificate from a recognized college is considered an asset.

**EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of two (2) years work experience in volunteer coordination or activation preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with volunteer programming, activation programming, recruitment and adult training techniques, and program management.
- Sound working knowledge of community resources.
- Strong organizational, analytical, customer service and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong consultation skills and flexible to respond to the needs of others.
- Independent judgement in areas of time management, task prioritization and decision-making
- Strong social media skills for membership and event promotion
- Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong proficiency with all aspects of Microsoft Office 365.
- A satisfactory criminal police and vulnerable sector check

**Salary**: $46,665.00-$56,729.00 per year
