As a **Data Operations and Support Analyst**, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the integrity, availability, and usability of our data assets. We are seeking someone with in-depth experience in **MS SQL**, who enjoys **creative problem solving**, has fluent English proficiency and excels at working with data. This position is **hybrid**, but can also be based in our Brantford office if you prefer. This role reports to our Innovations & Solutions Development Manager and works within a department of approximately 10 colleagues. We are looking for someone with previous experience in a **technical support role** who understands end userneeds, **data integration** and reporting. Knowledge or experience with **Azure**, as well as **data warehouses** and **multidimensional cubes** would be considered a strong asset.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Data Operations and Support Analyst, you will:

- **Troubleshoot data-related issues, investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes**, and implementing solutions to ensure data reliability and usability for end-users.
- Maintain **comprehensive documentation** on data processes, including data dictionaries, workflows, and troubleshooting guides, to facilitate transparency and knowledge transfer.
- **Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools, processes, and best practices**, empowering them to effectively utilize data resources and optimize decision-making capabilities.
- Perform rigorous **quality assurance checks on data** to uphold integrity and compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks associated with inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and **develop solutions** aligned with business needs.
- Proactively seek opportunities to **improve data processes and systems**, leveraging new technologies and best practices to enhance data quality, efficiency, and reliability, driving continuous optimization across the organization.
- **Oversee the organization's data** to ensure accuracy, completeness, and security through tasks such as **data cleansing, validation, and normalization.**:

- Work closely with stakeholders to develop impactful business intelligence solutions.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of progressive experience delivering reporting, database, data integration, and cube solutions.
- Experience managing SQL, SSIS, SSAS and SSRS solutions in Visual Studio using version control such as SVN or GIT.
- Previous experience in a technical support role, demonstrating a strong understanding of end user needs and effective communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server, including:

- Proficiency in writing/debugging complex T-SQL queries.
- Experience in creating/modifying Tables, Views, Functions, Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
- Familiarity with managing objects under Change Data Capture, table partitioning, and indexing/performance tuning.
- Ability to create, schedule, debug SQL Agent Jobs.
- Competency in maintaining, debugging, and building complex Stored Procedures, SSRS Reports, ETL/SSIS packages and sub-packages.
- Hands-on experience working with Multidimensional cubes and data warehouses is a strong asset but is not required
- Previous experience with Azure is an asset, including: Azure SQL and CosmoDB, Azure DevOps, and/or Azure Data Factory
