Take charge of quantum processor advancements at D-Wave Quantum Inc. as a Lead Manager. This pivotal role combines technical acumen with team leadership in a cutting-edge environment located in Burnaby. D-Wave invites applications for the role of Manager or Senior Manager in Quantum Processor Development. You will lead a team of 4-8 scientists, directing efforts in superconducting device physics and integration of quantum technologies. Collaborate with multiple departments and drive initiatives that contribute to the company's innovative mission in quantum computing. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and mentor a team of experimental scientists
- Align team goals with the company’s roadmap
- Plan people and resources efficiently
- Foster a culture of scientific innovation and experimentation
- Manage cross-functionality to resolve technical challenges
- Advanced degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related
- 8+ years of experience in quantum technology
- 5+ years in a leadership role within R&D
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
- Proven experience in navigating complex priorities
