We are seeking new or recent graduates to join our Management Development Program. This is a full-time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete their training; relocation assistance will be provided. Opportunities are available across the country.The Role :As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4 phased program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will grow a sales territory and provide world-class customer service, with guidance and mentoring from current managers and teammates within a region and across Canada to build a successful management career at EMCO.Program Outline :Phase 1: Warehouse and Customer Service – Build product knowledge and gain hands-on experience with the logistical side of the business, from vendor to customer. Involvement in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more.Phase 2: Customer Relationships and Procurement – Assist customers with service issues, manage large-scale projects, build relationships with customers and vendors, and learn to read blueprint drawings to create quotes for materials.Phase 3: Account Management and Proactive Sales – Focus on business development, learn how to find new opportunities, sell products, negotiate contracts to expand the customer base, and create level 5 customer partnerships.Phase 4: Leadership and Operations – Develop leadership competencies, coach and mentor a team, set vision and strategy, and run the business.Upon completing the phases, you will be prepared to take on a managerial role at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.QualificationsUniversity degree or college diploma – all disciplines consideredPositive attitude and results-oriented mindsetDesire to continuously learn and growExcellent leadership, customer service and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and high integrityAbility to work well independently and in a teamExcellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and teammatesProficient in Microsoft Office softwareStrong interest in salesValid driver’s licenseSalary & Additional InformationSalary Range - $52,500 + Profit SharingEMCO is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a discrimination- and barrier-free workplace.
