We are currently seeking new or recent graduates to join our Management Development Program. This is a full‑time, salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to earn profit sharing. Please note that successful candidates may be required to relocate within Canada to complete their training. Relocation assistance will be provided. The Role As a Management Trainee, you will progress through a 4‑phase program to learn every aspect of how our business operates – from shipping and receiving, counter sales, operations management to employee development and more. You will grow a sales territory of your own and provide world‑class customer service. You will receive guidance, mentoring, and support from current managers and teammates within a region and across Canada to build a successful management career at EMCO. Program Outline Phase 1: Warehouse and Customer Service Build product knowledge and gain hands‑on experience with the logistical side of the business. Learn how our products get from the vendor to the customer. Involved in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory and pricing controls, credit management, financial statements, and more. Phase 2: Customer Relationships and Procurement Move from helping customers with various service issues to managing large‑scale projects and problem solving. Build relationships with customers and vendors, read blueprint drawings, and create material quotes for customers’ projects. Phase 3: Account Management and Proactive Sales Focus on business development, learn how to find new business opportunities, sell our products, negotiate contracts, expand the customer base, and create Level 5 customer partnerships. Phase 4: Leadership and Operations Provide a strategic vision, lead a team, mentor others, and run the business by focusing on leadership competencies, coaching, and setting vision and strategy. Upon completion, you will be ready to take on the role of manager at one of our Canadian Profit Center locations.
