OverviewLong Term Occasional Assignment OECTA. The Ottawa Catholic School Board (OCSB) is seeking a Long Term Occasional teacher for the above noted school to provide coverage for a teacher on leave. The address of which can be found in our application portal.ResponsibilitiesProvide instructional coverage for a teacher on leave at the assigned school.QualificationsApplicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.Successful completion of the Sexual Abuse Prevention Training through OCT.CompensationSalary: The salary of each Teacher shall be determined in accordance with Article 32 of the OECTA Collective Agreement. Effective September 1, 2025, salaries will range from $51,234.00 to $119,943.00.How to ApplyAll applications must be submitted through Apply to Education. Failure to complete this information may impact eligibility for an interview. Incomplete applications will not be considered.Process for selectionThe school board shall identify the three most senior applicants to the LTO assignment posting who are available for the assignment and hold the required qualifications.An Occasional Teacher shall be considered available if not already assigned to another LTO during the term.Three senior applicants will be contacted to confirm interest; if any decline, the next most senior qualified applicant shall be considered to ensure five applicants are considered.Should less than three qualified applicants apply, the board shall select the successful applicant from the qualified applicants.If no qualified applicants apply or all decline, the board may hire an external qualified teacher not on the Roster.External qualified teachers not currently on the OT Roster must pass the OT interview process. New hires may be required to submit a negative PRC for the Vulnerable Sector dated within the last six months.
