Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Further Responsibilities Include the Following:
- Expertise in instrumentation, control systems, and automation; experience with Rockwell ControlLogix and DeltaV.
- Required experience in heavy industries (O&G, pulp/paper, industrial processes).
- Proficient in instrument design and engineering, and control system architecture (PLC, DCS, telecommunications, fiber optics, marshalling).
- Skilled in instrument specifications, design, and documentation (SPI data sheets, loop diagrams, P&ID development, instrument calculations).
- Familiar with various instrument product lines (control valves, actuated valves, transmitters, flow elements, process analyzers).
- Experience with DCS, SIS, BMS, Fire & Gas, QCS, PLC, machine drives, advanced control systems.
- Proficient in software tools (MS Access, Excel, Visio, Project, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, instrument sizing software, SPI).
- Capable of generating comprehensive instrument documentation and purchase technical specifications.
- Experienced in writing scopes of work, construction packages, and technical evaluations.
- Participation in HAZOP, P&ID, 3D model reviews, SIL development, and vendor drawing review.
- Skilled in construction support, supervision, estimating, and project leadership.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in instrumentation and controls.
- Commissioning and Pre-Commissioning leadership.
- Heavy industry engineering experience required (O&G, pulp/paper, or other industrial processes).
- Participate in PLC and DCS programming and graphics development.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Test FAT and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
- Checker for drawing and documentation.
- Familiarity with Codes, Standards, Regulations.
- Develop cable schedules and wiring details.
- Design Control System Block Diagram or Control System Architecture Drawing.
- Control Panel and Junction Layouts and design.
- Field Experience.
