Job Overview

Actalent is seeking a proficient electrical engineer specializing in instrumentation and control for a significant industrial project. This role involves collaborating on the design and execution of an extensive agricultural processing facility project.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Facilitating the connection of electrical power from a local substation to the processing facility.
  • Developing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and specifying essential instruments, including transmitters and valves.
  • Creating loop diagrams and control narratives to ensure seamless operations.
  • Conducting sizing calculations for electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and breakers.
Required Skills

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  1. Experience in designing power distribution systems from substations to facilities.
  2. Knowledge of Motor Control Center (MCC) energization.
  3. Proficiency in P&ID development.
  4. Expertise in instrument specification and control system design.
  5. Ability to create detailed loop diagrams and control narratives.
  6. Competence in sizing and selecting electrical equipment.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
Position Type

This role is a contract position with a duration of 18 months.
