Job OverviewActalent is seeking a proficient electrical engineer specializing in instrumentation and control for a significant industrial project. This role involves collaborating on the design and execution of an extensive agricultural processing facility project.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Facilitating the connection of electrical power from a local substation to the processing facility.
- Developing Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and specifying essential instruments, including transmitters and valves.
- Creating loop diagrams and control narratives to ensure seamless operations.
- Conducting sizing calculations for electrical equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and breakers.
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
- Experience in designing power distribution systems from substations to facilities.
- Knowledge of Motor Control Center (MCC) energization.
- Proficiency in P&ID development.
- Expertise in instrument specification and control system design.
- Ability to create detailed loop diagrams and control narratives.
- Competence in sizing and selecting electrical equipment.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong client interaction capabilities.
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
This role is a contract position with a duration of 18 months.
Work ArrangementThe position operates on a hybrid model, requiring a mix of on-site and remote work.
Work EnvironmentThe role is based out of a collaborative office environment, with regular interactions with project stakeholders. The work schedule is designed to promote work-life balance, allowing for flexible start times and occasional remote work opportunities.
