Our team in Canada is growing; we are currently recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Designer | Technician to join our Mining & Metal Business line in the Burlington office.
About the role
- Prepare high level 2D and 3D models of mineral processing equipment such as belt conveyors, tanks, pumps, crushers, mills, etc.
- Help in the design and preparation of 2D and 3D models of mineral processing plants
- Under supervision of a senior designer, prepare mechanical layout and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
- Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure civil drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.
- Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback
About you
- Advanced Diploma or equivalent through an apprenticeship program
- 0 - 2 years relevant experience in Mechanical design
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must
- Strong Written and oral communication skills
- Commitment and enthusiasm for learning
