Overview Description: The Respiratory Therapist I (RT) is responsible for professional assessment, therapeutic intervention and follow-up for patients with cardio-pulmonary and related disorders. The RT I reviews clinical referrals, conducts assessments and performs diagnostic testing, develops and administers care plans for patients, facilitates discharge and provides education to clients, family and care givers. The RT I is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement. Classification: Respiratory Therapist I Union: COV HSAA PROF TECH Unit and Program: Respiratory Therapy Primary Location: Misericordia Community Hosp Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.81 Posting End Date: 20-FEB-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 06-APR-2026 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 34 Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $40.73 Maximum Salary: $52.34 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Graduate of a recognized and accredited school of Respiratory Therapy program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration and member in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CRTA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
