Your Opportunity:Working as part of an inter-disciplinary team, the Bronchoscopy Registered Respiratory Therapist I (RRTI) is involved in the diagnostic and therapeutic care to patients with respiratory diseases, respiratory failure and associated medical and/or surgical problems in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for developing, implementing and following up on respiratory care plans, performing respiratory care procedures and training students. This position functions as a Respiratory Therapist I - Bronchoscopy Suite expert in diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy. This position provides leadership by demonstrating expertise in bronchoscopy and bronchoscopy equipment, excellent patient care and ongoing education to colleagues and other health care professionals. This position also supports all respiratory programs as the primary resource for bronchoscopy. The RTBS collaborates with the Respiratory Therapy Professional Advisory Council (RTPAC) to provide input into the revision of existing policies and procedures. This position cooperates and provides input to clinical educators in multiple health disciplines to train students and Respiratory Therapists to a higher level of knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy. The Bronchoscopy RRTI will provide support to the inpatient units as required.Description: As a Respiratory Therapist I, you will assess patients (clients, resident), develop and implement respiratory therapy care plans and monitor their progress. You will be responsible for various diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and interventions. You will collaborate with various clinical teams and groups to enhance clinical outcomes. You will provide training and assist health care providers in the use and care of respiratory equipment as well as educate patients and their families regarding diseases, medications, equipment and treatments. Required Qualifications: Active or eligible registration with the College and Association of Respiratory Therapists of Alberta (CARTA).Additional Required Qualifications: As Required.Preferred Qualifications: As Required.
