Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll operate as a key member of the executive team, with direct input into company strategy and cross‑functional initiatives.As we scale, this role will bring dedicated focus to marketing: deepening foundational elements, storytelling, and elevating programs that position us as a thought leader in quantum computing. You will lead a small, high‑impact marketing team. Collaborate with the executive, product and R&D teams to align positioning, messaging, segmentation, and channel strategy to business objectives.Branding – Define and deliver brand positioning that differentiates us in the quantum technology landscape. Ensure consistent authentic and relevant voice, standardized brand architecture and guidelines for visual identity and messaging, create memorable brand experience, and establish metrics to track brand health, awareness and perception.Thought Leadership – Architect a repeatable thought leadership engine (keynotes, op‑eds, technical explainers, ecosystem content) that responsibly shapes expectations for quantum utility while maintaining scientific credibility.Communications & Content – Own the narrative across all channels—executive communications, media/analyst relations, and integrated content strategy. Build a scalable content engine (web, social, video, technical explainers) that drives awareness and engagement. Scale an editorial and distribution system that blends owned, earned, and partnered content.Product Marketing – Translate an evolving technical roadmap into clear value propositions, competitive/alternative technology positioning, and enablement for internal and external GTM teams.Events & Sponsorships – Develop and execute an event strategy that amplifies our brand and thought leadership from flagship conferences and ecosystem forums to strategic sponsorships that position Photonic at the center of the quantum conversation.Team, Operating Cadence & Measurement – Grow a lean, high leverage team; sharpen operating rhythms (quarterly planning, retros, success metrics). Manage budgets with stage‑appropriate discipline and clear ROI storytelling.WHAT YOU BRING TO OUR TEAM12+ years in B2B deep tech or enterprise marketing with demonstrated expertise in scaling marketing operations in high‑growth environmentBachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferredProven success in category creation, market shaping, and influencing industry standardsTransformational leadership style; history of building and inspiring high‑performing teams through hypergrowth and strategic changeExceptional executive presence, with the ability to influence at board, investor, and policy levels.
