Direct message the job poster from Forward Education Go-To-Market Leader and Hands-On Builder Role Description We are looking for an experienced marketing communications specialist to play a key role in how the company scales and impacts education for millions of students.\In this new age of AI, the coding and computer science skills we teach at Forward Education are some of the most important curriculum to set our next generation up for success. In the next 3 years, every school, extended learning program, library, and summer camp in the world will be teaching AI literacy and coding and we’re going to help them lead the way. Reporting to Cam, our Director of Product Marketing, you’ll help tell our story and connect with educators by creating and sharing content across email and social channels, managing campaign calendars, highlighting classroom stories, and supporting educators with our products. This role is hands‑on and creative, with room to experiment. This role can be local in the Waterloo Region, or fully remote in North America. Most of us are based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, eh, but we’re excited to grow our team to communities across the US and UK. This role values edtech experience, particularly with STEM, coding, robotics or something in our lane. You’ll need to be a confident self‑starter that’s ready to learn a new ecosystem and hit the ground running. Company Description Forward Education creates engaging STEAM and AI Literacy learning experiences through hands‑on, purpose‑driven products and lessons. Our ecosystem includes micro:bit‑powered coding and robotics kits, AI learning tools, and maker resources that help students develop critical thinking, coding, and engineering skills while addressing global challenges such as sustainability and renewable energy. Job Responsibilities Create and publish engaging content across social media, email channels, and the web that highlight customer stories, new product launches, educator resources, and more in clear and accessible ways. Manage the marketing campaign and social media calendar, aligning it with educator and school calendars, events, and our product roadmap. Monitor performance metrics and optimize campaigns and tactics based on results. Use HubSpot and Canva to design, build, and send marketing emails, including broad sends, segmented campaigns, and nurture sequences. Ensure tactics and campaigns offer value and have compelling calls‑to‑action with effective lead conversion paths at our website or with our Sales team. Set goals for campaigns, track progress, and manage projects to ensure content and assets are delivered on time. Be an active collaborator with our small team to develop creative ways to engage educators, while maintaining a consistent, friendly, educator‑centred brand voice. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in technology marketing, preferably in edtech, coding, and/or STEM. Strong written and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and tactics for different audiences and channels. Experience with HubSpot marketing tools, or similar CRM / marketing platform. Experience creating and managing social media content that drives engagement. Strong organizational and project management skills; able to thrive in a fast‑moving work environment with multiple tasks and deadlines. Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva). Experience with Shopify is an asset. Comfortable taking ownership of work, tracking progress, and iterating using goals and KPIs. Annual salary between $60,000–$80,000, aligned to qualifications and experience. Vacation Time: Begin with 15 vacation days and 2 'Because We Care' personal days. Remote Work: at home or on the move.
