They are seeking a polished finance professional to join their dynamic team as a full-time, permanent Accounting Manager. Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Salary: CA$80,000.00-CA$90,000.00.As Accounting Manager, you will oversee the organization’s financial operations and direct all accounting functions, including establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures, as well as preparing financial statements and reporting to senior leadership. You are a critical thinker and persuasive communicator, energetic and results-driven. You lead with a positive, hands-on approach, inspiring your team by example. Reporting to the President, you will:ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, develop, and support the finance teamOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, payroll, AP/AR, and statutory reportingPrepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsLead the year-end audit and ensure accurate preparation of audited financial statementsManage capital assets, tracking, reconciliation and other financial controlsCollaborate with operations and sales to improve processes, support system implementation, and optimize pricing, costing and marginsGuide financial systems, reporting and data analysis to support informed decision-makingMonitor performance against budgets and deliver timely ad hoc reporting to support evolving business prioritiesDevelop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controlsPerform ad hoc duties as requiredQualifications:University degree in business/accounting4+ years progressive experience, with management experienceStrong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong leadership with the ability to motivate teams and manage projects under tight deadlinesExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsEffective communication, presentation, and organizational skillsPrevious experience with Business Central (Dynamics) is considered an assetWhat’s the Bottom Line:$90,000 - $95,000 salary range4 weeks’ vacation (close at Christmas, 1 week, paid)Free parkingGroup insurance benefitsRRSP matchingInternal Job ID# 4928Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionAccounting/AuditingIndustries: Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
