We are looking for an Accounting Manager to manage all areas of financial reporting. In this role you will develop and maintain accounting procedures, practices, and principles to ensure timely and accurate financial statements. You will be responsible for preparing a general ledger, journal entries and other bookkeeping functions in the NetSuite ERP to assist with the timely and accurate preparation of a monthly financial close. You will be responsible for leading and coaching the accounting team of 3, and reviewing finance-related work of other team members for accuracy and compliance with financial standards.- _This role will be required to work from the office minimum 3 days a week._

**Responsibilities**
- Processing accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures;
- Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data;
- Preparing bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits;
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted;
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues;
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients and collect credit card payments;
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status;
- Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and follow up on outstanding invoices using AR collection software tool Gaviti;
- Review and reconcile monthly employee expense reports and corporate credit card receipts;
- Perform monthly closing duties, including month-end general journal entries and year end entries;
- Embrace the opportunity to take on exciting ad hoc duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- 2 plus years of related work experience;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Strong organizational and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of NetSuite ERP or other ERPs;
- College/University graduate in Commerce/Business/Accounting;
- Good organization and time management skills;
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills;
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with other departments.
