Job Summary As an Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence across a diverse building portfolio. This role is more than a management position—it’s an opportunity to shape strategy, drive performance, and foster an environment where innovation and client satisfaction thrive. Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of facility operations and property management. Provide leadership and mentorship to operations and administrative teams. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations while optimizing efficiency and cost control. Build strong relationships with clients, tenants, and subcontractors to maintain service excellence. Prepare annual budgets, monitor monthly variances and ensure bottom‑line accountability. Manage preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot building systems, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Coordinate facility projects, renovations, and upgrades from planning to execution. Conduct on‑site safety inspections and audits and ensure staff and subcontractors follow safety practices. Qualifications Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management, including maintenance and subcontracted services. Pursuing or holding an accredited Commercial Real Estate designation (RPA, CPM, FMA, FMP). Valid 5th or new 4th Class Power Engineering certificate (asset). Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and knowledge of computerized accounting systems (MRI experience an asset); working knowledge of CMMS and BMCS. Extensive knowledge of budgeting, administrative and accounting processes. Comprehensive understanding of building operations and building systems. Strong leadership and supervisory/management skills, able to lead a team to achieve standards and accomplish objectives. Valid driver’s licence and clean driving abstract.
