The main object and purpose of this position consist in achieving ALC’s sales vision, while promoting safety, quality, awareness and compliance with company policies and maximizing the impact of your actions on company sales, prices, competition, and potential customers. The incumbent is responsible for gathering information to develop a market strategy and for managing and planning territory to maximize profitability. The incumbent also writes proposals and negotiates contracts, maintains and increases services to our customers, secures relationships with customers and provides support to the team to achieve objectives. Responsibilities Prospect the territory and analyze markets: develop a market development strategy and understand the competition’s strategy; locate and call on prospective customers, initiate and maintain business relationships; sell to prospects considering competitors and develop local markets for new applications. Manage and plan territory: develop a business plan and sales strategy for your sector; plan and organize activities to generate profitable growth and satisfying results (territory, deadlines, sales and profitability forecasts); use CRM to plan, schedule and report on day‑to‑day activities, maintain accurate profiles of customers and leads, establish selling prices within company guidelines, and manage accounts and competition. Develop new applications related to ALC’s products and services; establish commercial proposals and negotiate contracts, responding to customer needs; write clear, succinct, and professional‑looking proposals; present proposals, persuade, influence, and negotiate contracts with customers. Identify customers’ information and decision‑making structure, culture and goals; understand the customer’s industry processes, products or services; use “Need Satisfaction Selling” to probe and listen actively to build a clear, accurate and complete picture of what customers require. Obtain customer’s commitment, follow appropriate procedures when a close is not possible, and close in incremental steps that further the sales process; find creative solutions, take risks and make difficult decisions; share information with the Accounts Receivable Agent regarding customer credit status and the financial viability of the account. Ensure customer loyalty: develop a strategy to secure customer’s loyalty, act as the primary contact between the customer and ALC, identify problematic situations and solve problems, improve the quality of business relationships and maintain a long‑term vision, anticipate future needs. Participate in teamwork: know everybody’s role within the team, demonstrate sensitivity to the needs and concerns of other Sales Team members, provide information, training and supervision by executing linked sales with them, build and maintain relationships inside your own organization, communicate effectively with other departments. Acquire and upgrade knowledge and competencies: present a professional image to the customer, develop knowledge and analysis of ALC’s products and services, the industry, and the processes in which they are used. Qualifications Minimum 2 or 3 years experience in industrial sales. Diploma: College diploma or bachelor’s degree in the field of application. Training: Selling skills, Quality System (ISO). Knowledge: Computerized systems, MS Office, products, services and applications, contract law, financial management basics.
