We believe in promoting from within, respecting people and their differences, providing high quality service and always having fun If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet youJob DescriptionAs a key member of a nation leading Security Company, the Security Officer will:Apply their decision-making and strong communication skills to all duties and responsibilities relating to Security and SafetyEnsure that the Safety and Emergency Procedures are followedFollow Post Orders for each site postedUndertake site specific training; follow direction and guidance from Client Service Manager or SupervisorConduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access point, and vehiclesPatrol assigned areas on foot or in motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment securityMonitor the environment for safety infractions or hazardsWatch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situationsOffer support to any person in need of assistanceContact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as requiredMaintain strict confidentiality and integrity of data and informationRespond to inquiries and request for information in an appropriate mannerUtilize two-way radio and computer applicationsAct with professionalism and integrityDemonstrates an active interest in promoting safety in the work placeMotivates, supports, and inspires co-workersPaladin provides to youCompetitive wagesUniforms (we provide a monthly dry-cleaning allowance)Health and Dental benefits (meet the requirements of the plan)Unlimited opportunities to grow within a National CompanyJob RequirementsAvailability for variety of shifts including overnight shifts and weekendsAbility to obtain Alberta Security LicenseValid class 5 license and own vehicleExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong interpersonal and customer service skills while remaining professional with a tactful and friendly demeanorAbility to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logsAbility to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency situations with minimal supervisionDiscretion when handling confidential and private informationAbility to perform under pressure and in adversityAbility to walk 18-20 km and climb stairsAuthorized to legally work in CanadaCertification Requirements (All)First Aid, CPR Level CAdditional Information / BenefitsPaladin Security has a diverse workforce.
