Allied Universal is seeking** a Professional Security Guard** in Portage la Prairie, MB.

**Job Title: Security Guard**

**Job Location: Portage la Prairie, MB**

**Job Type: Full-Time**

**Pay Rate: $17.70 per hour**

**Shifts: 2300-0700 Monday - Friday**

**Overview**:
Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in **Portage la Prairie**.

**Requirement**:

- Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
- Experience with report writing and note-taking.
- Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
- Valid **MB security guard license.**:

- Must be eligible to work in Canada over **40 hours per week.**:

- First Aid and CPR
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
- Must be proficient using computer
- **Must be living in Portage la Prairie.**

**Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions**:

- Access control for the facility/area
- Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
- Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
- Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
- Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
- Vehicle Gate and Console duties
