This is a unique opportunity for a passionate leader to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of Oxford County’s diverse communities.The Executive Director is the chief ambassador and strategic leader of OCCHC, reporting to and working closely with the Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission, vision, and values. This role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic plan, ensuring that OCCHC’s commitment to health equity and community development is reflected in every aspect of its operations. As Executive Director, you will provide thoughtful leadership across all areas of the organization -- including human and financial resources, program development, and service delivery. You will foster a collaborative environment built on trust that empowers staff and supports their autonomy, while guiding the organization through change and growth. Keys to your success will be driven by your ability to engage and inspire a dedicated team of health and social service professionals, many of whom are deeply connected to OCCHC’s grassroots culture and current leadership. You will navigate organizational challenges, champion innovative solutions, and ensure the sustainability of vital community programs by developing robust plans for long-term impact. Your problem-solving skills and commitment to partnership will be essential as you work with stakeholders to shape new initiatives that align with OCCHC’s strategic priorities and respond to the evolving needs of the community.Minimum five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in community health or social services, ideally within organizations serving marginalized populations.Master’s degree in business, public or health administration, or human services is preferred; equivalent experience in senior management roles will also be considered.Proven ability to partner in the development, launching, and sustainability of innovative programs, policies and services, especially those addressing the needs of underserved communities.Experience guiding organizations through change, particularly in environments where staff value autonomy, trust, and a hands-off leadership style.Demonstrated success in securing funding, budget negotiation and creating sustainability plans for grant-funded initiatives.Skilled at building collaborative relationships with Boards, government agencies, and community partners.We are committed to excellence in serving all clients including people with disabilities in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
