Scientific Associate - Brain Health Imaging Centre The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital and a world‑leading research centre. The Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute (CFMHRI) and the Brain Health Imaging Centre (BHIC) conduct cutting‑edge imaging research to advance understanding of brain health and mental well‑being. Responsibilities Study design activities, including grant writing, study protocol design, and research ethics submission. Development of research funding proposals, identification of suitable funding programmes, and liaison with Research Operations, Support and Services (ROSS). Financial monitoring and control of project expenditures, accurate and timely reconciliation of expenses. Management of research studies, creation and execution of work plans, coordination of activities across multiple studies. Oversight of study team’s data collection and analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy. Preparation and writing of publications and presentations, supporting knowledge translation and exchange activities. Functional oversight, including training and mentoring of staff, occasional direct supervision of staff and/or trainees, accountability for quality and quantity of work by study personnel. Participation in departmental and CAMH‑wide quality improvement activities. Qualifications Ph.D. in biological, neuroscience, computer science or related field, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant research experience post‑training. Experience in data collection and analysis, and research publication in the applicable methodological area. Familiarity with analysis tools and methods, e.g., Matlab, Python, shell/bash scripting, and statistical packages such as SPSS or R. Record of contributions to scientific publications. Strong collaboration, judgment, organizational, communication (verbal/written) and analytical skills. Ability to multitask, produce high‑quality, accurate work while meeting program deadlines. Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team of diverse backgrounds. Experience supervising and overseeing staff and trainees, or other management experience. Bilingualism (English/French) and/or proficiency in a second language is considered an asset. Salary range: Competitive Salary and Benefits package.
