Scientific Associate – Schizophrenia Division Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a part‑time, one‑year contract Scientific Associate to support a multi‑disciplinary research team focused on schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. The role involves clinical and translational research projects, data collection and analysis, and knowledge translation activities. Responsibilities Collaborate with Principal Investigator and research team on observational and interventional studies. Apply quantitative research skills to study design, data collection, management and analysis. Support multi‑modal neuroimaging studies, including resting‑state fMRI, task‑based fMRI, arterial spin labeling and magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Prepare research reports, grant applications, conference presentations and manuscripts for publication. Mentor research staff and trainees, contributing to a healthy, inclusive workplace. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high ethical standards. Qualifications PhD in Neuroscience or related field with at least 2 years post‑doctoral experience in schizophrenia research. Strong background in clinical trial coordination and participant assessment within psychiatric populations. Proficient in neuroimaging analysis (resting‑state connectivity, task‑based fMRI, ASL, MR spectroscopy) and quantitative/statistical methods. Experience with statistical software such as SPSS and R, data modelling and interpretation of multimodal datasets. Excellent academic writing and oral communication skills, with a proven record of publications and grant submissions. Strong organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities; able to work independently and collaboratively. Supervisory or training experience is a plus; ability to mentor team members.
