We are seeking a COMMERCIAL CONTRACTS ADVISOR (ENGLISH/SPANISH BILINGUAL) to support our client's contracting and procurement activities for studies and sustaining capital projects across multiple regions. This dynamic role offers opportunities to influence early‑stage studies and contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives within a global heavy industry portfolio. Work Location: Remote work within BC or AB Contract Duration: 1 year term with possible extension Hourly Rate: Commensurate with experience Key Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end strategic sourcing for goods and services supporting studies and sustaining capital projects. Develop and execute procurement plans, RFx processes, and sourcing strategies, including bidder qualification, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations. Lead contract negotiation, formation, and operationalization in ERP systems (SAP, Ariba), ensuring compliance with governance and ESG standards. Administer pre‑award and post‑award activities, including contract management, performance monitoring, change orders, and close‑out. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with project objectives and maintain accurate documentation for Stage‑Gate requirements. Drive systems optimization for procurement and contract management processes. Qualifications Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering. Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, contracting, or supply chain within heavy industry (energy, mining, or EPC projects). Familiarity with capital projects and study‑phase contracting; major project experience is not mandatory. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, with proven ability to engage stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Ariba preferred) and ability to optimize processes. Must speak fluent English and Spanish to support projects in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, US, and Ghana.
