This role is ideal for a detail-oriented law clerk with experience in mortgage enforcement, personal loan collections, and litigation support, who is looking to further develop their expertise in a collaborative and professional environment.Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will support lawyers on litigation files, with a strong focus on mortgage enforcement matters. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Managing the mortgage enforcement process from start to finishCommunicating directly with debtors, lenders, and property managers for collection purposesDrafting legal documents, correspondence, and reportsPreparing and assembling motion records, affidavits, and other court materialsArranging for service of documents and completing court filingsOpening, maintaining, and updating files within ACL (Automated Civil Litigation) softwareCoordinating Bring Forwards (BFs) and tracking key deadlinesMaintaining organized and accurate recordsAssisting with other duties as required to support the litigation teamQualifications & Experience2–4 years of experience as a law clerk, legal assistant, or in a litigation support roleExperience with mortgage enforcement, power of sale, residential real estate, and/or personal loan collections is strongly preferredFamiliarity with the Ontario Rules of Civil Procedure is an assetExperience using ACL Automated Civil Litigation software is an assetExcellent written and verbal English communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, lawyers, and external partiesExceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervisionProfessional, responsive, and positive work ethicWhy This OpportunityThis role offers the opportunity to work with an experienced legal team in a supportive and values-driven environment, with strong exposure to mortgage enforcement and litigation processes.
