OverviewProject Coordinator - Civil ConstructionMaple Reinders Constructors is currently searching for a Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction division in Brampton, Ontario.As a Project Coordinator in our Civil division, you will support Project Managers in delivering heavy civil and industrial-type projects. You will support the project team with documentation, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, while gaining exposure to various contract types such as Design-Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management. Your key responsibility is to help ensure projects are delivered profitably, to spec, with high quality and a strong focus on site safety. Responsibilities Participate on heavy civil and industrial-type projects Assist in preparing budgets and construction schedules, and in setting up project administration files With direction from the Project Manager, initiate and maintain correspondence with Owner, Architect, Engineers, sub-trades and suppliers Gain an understanding of how to select suppliers and sub-trades and obtain quotations Assist with and/or clarify scope of work with sub-trades and suppliers Develop successful relationships with current and prospective clients, consultants, realtors, and developers Ensure a continuous focus on site safety in accordance with regulatory requirements and our Corporate Health and Safety Policy Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies Close tenders in consultation with senior managers Qualifications/Skills Minimum 1 year or more experience as a Project Coordinator in the construction industry A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or a combination of education and industry experience Core values People - Supporting our people to thrive Integrity - Doing the right thing without compromise Relationships - Building trust with clients & partners Stewardship - Caring for communities & the environment Ingenuity - Embracing challenges.
