BSG customizes services to the exact needs and locations of clients, ensuring that solutions meet precise specifications, including logistics, crew transfers, housekeeping, catering and the fulfillment of all HSE requirements.The OpportunityThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the contractual obligations for the Floatel and direct liaison with clients within the established operational, health and safety, and other policies and procedures of the company.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of the accommodation and support vesselsProviding coaching, leadership, and guidance to all department heads and managersAct as the primary liaison with all key project stakeholders (client, ship owners, shoreside operations team, subcontractors, etc.)Forecast requirements; assist in the preparation of budgets, schedule expenditures, etc.Complete budget analysis monthly and report on variances, taking corrective actions where necessaryWork closely with the corporate head officeEnsure the process is followed for contract managementGuide department heads to ensure labour is managed efficiently and appropriately reflects client-planned manning curvesRoutine reporting per corporate and client requirementsWork closely with the vessel owners' crew (deck and engine)Provide regular input and actively participate in all continuous improvement plansMaintain a safe, healthy work environment by ensuring operational HSE compliance, including compliance to HSE regulations and implementation of enhancement initiatives with the support of the HSE departmentParticipate in the recruitment of new team members, selection, and onboardingCommunicate job expectations and provide coaching and trainingWorking with department heads, ensure that scheduled performance reviews are conducted for all crew membersPrioritize the safety of crew members in all aspects of the operationLead with strong safety leadership through desirable behaviors, attitudes, and mindset to further develop our culture of safetyQualifications1-2 years of experience in a hospitality operation (guest services, room management, and food & beverage)3-5 years of previous experience in leading a project, preferably in the role of Operations Manager or Project Manager1-2 years of experience in a hospitality operation (guest services, room management, and food & beverage)Knowledge of the technical functions and operational components of large format vessels, specifically Ro-Ro or passenger vesselsValid Marine First Aid and CPRValid STCW-95Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test prior to hiring and potential random tests throughout employment without prior noticeExcellent comprehension and command of the English language (written and verbal)Excellent organizational and time management skillsWorking ConditionsConstant standing and walking throughout the shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbsFrequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and rampsAt Bridgemans Crew Management Ltd., we believe that each employee contributes directly to our growth and success.
