In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.This role converts sales demand for new orders, repairs, service, and warranty activities into a production and implementation plan consistent with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System and aimed towards meeting customer requirements.What will you do as a Production Manager?Oversee day to day production activities, ensuring that production targets are met on time and are performed to LMI’s quality standards.Manage a team of production staff, providing leadership, training and support as required.Maintain cross training of staff amongst multiple products to ensure that manufacturing staff remain qualified in multiple areas and to ensure coverage for unplanned absences and volume demand changes.Working with other production managers at LMI develop and implement production schedules, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet customer demand.Work closely with the engineering team to ensure that production processes are optimized for efficiency and quality.Work with engineering to create & maintain accurate capacity models.Monitor production costs and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.Act as a focal point for the production line core team to drive decisions, implementation of process improvements and coordination of New Product Introduction to the production line. The core team consists of the production manager, manufacturing Engineer, quality Engineer and Planner.Drive and facilitate a culture of trust and respect.Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.All other duties as assigned.What do you need to be successful?Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University (preferably in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field).Minimum 5 years of experience in a production leadership role, preferably in a low to medium volume high mix production environment.Previous experience managing a team of 15+ staff.Proven track record of delivering results and meeting objectives.Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate a team.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with different departments and stakeholders.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience with process optimization.Familiarity with health and safety regulations.How to submit your interest?If you are interested in this exciting opportunity and working for a fast-growing global technology company with an inspiring and engaging workplace environment, please submit your application to our Human Resources team in confidence by clicking the “Apply Now” button.While we appreciate your interest in LMI very much, we are only able to respond to candidates selected for further consideration.
