Job Description AECOM is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for a new position that can be based within the Greater Toronto Area, Calgary, Montreal, or Burnaby areas to join our team. Opportunities for hybrid work are available. Job Summary: Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, you will partner with Operations to drive financial performance and compliance. In this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the business line's operating environment and projects and manage a small team. Major Responsibilities: Provide financial insights to Line management, focusing on enhancing working capital, operating cash flow, and P&L performance. Partner with Operations to drive improvement in financial and operating processes and disciplines. Monitor, report, and analyze financial performance for operational and project-related activities, offering support to project teams. Identify and communicate risks and opportunities, proactively addressing potential issues. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, AECOM policies, and ethical standards. Maintain effective controls related to AECOM’s SOX program. Collaborate with Operations to create the annual financial plan and monthly forecasts. Mentor and manage the performance and career development of direct reports. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to broader finance initiatives. Build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external clients. Gain a thorough understanding of key contractual agreements with clients and assist in developing models and strategies for large, complex project bids. Qualifications In order to be considered for this position, candidates must possess no less than: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Commerce, or a related field, plus 8 (eight) years of relevant financial management experience. Professional accounting designation, such as CPA. Preferred Qualifications: Financial management experience in a professional services or project-based environment. Proven experience building relationships with operational leaders and project teams, influencing business decisions and outcomes. Strong commercial acumen, along with excellent financial modelling and business analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data effectively. Ability to adapt to and drive change. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capacity to collaborate and influence at all organizational levels. Demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team. Strategic mindset, ability to embrace change, foster innovation, and consistently seek opportunities for improvement.
