Arctic Kingdom has crafted the world’s finest experiential tours and expeditions in the Canadian Arctic and polar regions for over 20+ years, building custom experiences for individuals, film production companies, corporations, and scientists. Arctic Kingdom was recently recognized by its tourism and destination partners as ‘The Pioneers’ of Arctic tourism.

We are currently looking to hire a full-time **Manager of Finance**, based in Mississauga, ON. This position will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the financial operations at Arctic Kingdom and ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting. This position also currently supports payroll activities.

**Some of What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Carrying out the monthly financial close process, including preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Reviewing and approving all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Managing payroll via Ceridian, and filing of all taxes.
- Monitoring and managing the company’s cash flow, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash management.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and adhere to GAAP.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled on a timely basis.
- Manage the annual audit process, and work with external auditors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management to support decision making.
- Managing employee data in BambooHR, statutory holidays, and managing vacation and sick balances.
- Manage vendor relationships, and liaise with benefit providers and other suppliers.
- Renew annual business licences, insurances, etc.
- Has a Degree in Accounting or Finance, supplemented by a professional designation.
- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in an accounting / finance role such as Finance Manager, Senior Financial Analyst, or Accounting Manager.
- Experience in the travel / hospitality industry with hand-on experience in revenue management or reservation system.
- Knowledge of Ceridian, Quickbooks, MS Teams, and BambooHR.
- Has an entrepreneurial mindset, is strategic, and outcome focused.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a proactive problem-solver.
- Accountable, independent, and an exceptional attention to detail.
