This role involves collaboration with the Supervisor of Reporting & Process Improvements and the Manager of Corporate Procurement & Reporting to drive efficiency, spearhead project initiatives, and leverage data analytics for informed decision-making. If you excel at building relationships, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with data governance policies, we invite you to join our team and contribute to our strategic goals.What you’ll doProcurement and Process OversightOversee the daily operations of the purchase order component within procure-to-pay activities for non-inventory goods and services.Identify, recommend, and implement new or improved procedures and processes to enhance operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and standards.Project Management and Data GovernanceLead and participate in departmental projects or key initiatives related to systems, process improvements, data governance, and analytics.Provide technical expertise in planning, designing, and implementing projects.Provide oversight and direction for master data management across all areas of SCM, including Procurement, Inventory, Logistics, Fleet, Facilities, and Commodity Management.Provide analysis and reporting for major department initiatives and KPIs.Team Leadership and DevelopmentPlan, organize, and supervise the daily activities of direct reports to support departmental goals.Offer coaching, staff development, performance management, technical guidance, and advice to team members.Contribute to setting department goals and objectives.Stakeholder EngagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Corporate Values and Conduct: Demonstrate professional conduct and align with Alectra’s core values of safety, teamwork, and customer focus.Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operational objectives.Who you areEducation & Technical KnowledgeBachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.Supply Chain Management designation or advanced enrollment.Strong knowledge of procurement concepts and financial analysis.Deep understanding of data governance policies and processes.Expert knowledge of MS Office applications.High level of expertise in data analytics, AI concepts, and Power BI applications.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of related experience in a leadership role.Experience in a Procurement/Supply Chain Management role is an asset.Experience in a unionized utility environment is an asset.Effective leadership, change management, supervisory, and delegation skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with stakeholders.Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines.Must hold and maintain a valid Class "G" driver's license.Where you will workHybrid: This role is based in a hybrid environment, allowing for a mix of remote and in-office work to support team collaboration and business needs.Who we areAs the largest municipally owned electric utility in Canada, we are committed to growing, evolving and remaining innovative to build a sustainable and brighter future.
