Job Summary

MHI RJ Aviation is seeking a Procurement Supervisor who is smart, curious, enjoys taking on challenges, and solving problems to improve people's lives. You will collaborate with and supervise a flexible, dynamic, and close-knit team.

Your Contribution as a Procurement Supervisor

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control all aspects of your responsibilities. Use the necessary skills to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workloads within the assigned sector and employees in a multi-project environment.
  • Act as lead to a team of Procurement Agents. Provide mentorship, guidance and management support to the team.
  • Use various software tools such as Word, Excel, and others for business transactions and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively, provide updates, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management.
  • Negotiate and manage sales organization to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Find solutions and provide support to return aircraft to service or resolve supply-related issues to meet customer expectations.
  • Align daily operations with MHI RJ Aviation's top priorities while upholding the company's values and leadership competencies.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration and a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a team supervision role.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written.
  • English is required for this position as the selected candidate will regularly communicate with colleagues, clients, or partners outside of Quebec.
  • Experience working in a dynamic environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP applications is a strong asset, as well as proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and web applications.
  • Basic knowledge of aircraft types.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles sufficient to read and interpret profit/loss statements, financial reports, and achieve financial objectives for assigned sectors and programs.
  • Practical knowledge of aviation requirements and regulations is a definite asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of staff, departments, clients, suppliers, and managers.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
