Information Governance Specialist – Co-op Student OLG is a multi‑billion‑dollar organization that delivers great entertainment experiences for customers across lottery, digital lottery, casino, and more. We are expanding our horizons and looking for a dynamic co‑op student to support our Information Governance initiatives. Job Details Locations: Sault Ste. Marie or TorontoDuration: Winter (January – April 2026)Type: Student Full TimePay Range: $18.50 – $28.50 per hour Position Summary The Technology Strategy and Innovation department develops the technology roadmap and strategy to enable OLG’s business goals. The successful candidate will work in a large IT environment, be a curious and analytical thinker with excellent communication skills, and thrive in pressure situations. Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of the Information Governance (IG) strategy and framework, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture and Analytics. Monitor compliance of IG processes, policies, and standards governing the lifecycle of OLG information assets. Support day‑to‑day operations and strategic advancement of data governance, integration, stewardship, and advising stakeholders on IG standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements for effective system solutions. Maintain a perspective on current technologies and processes relevant to IG. Build and maintain relationships with business units and promote IG initiatives. Qualifications Currently enrolled in a post‑secondary program focused on computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or business administration. Experience in IT with knowledge of business assessment, requirements analysis, or information governance is an asset. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast‑paced environment. Self‑motivated and eager to learn new skills. Experience maintaining enterprise data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and standards definition. Familiarity with enterprise metadata platforms or data catalog tools. Understanding of data profiling, analysis, and metadata collection. Experience delivering data documentation artifacts and communicating them at multiple levels.
