Overview :

Charter is currently seeking one (1) experienced Infrastructure Admin starting August 2024. Reporting to Team lead / Sr. Infrastructure Admin, the ideal resource will have 6+ years of experience supporting Network and Server infrastructure in both enterprise (IT) and manufacturing (OT) environment. This includes configuring/supporting Cisco Meraki switches (i.e., MS225), Palo Alto Firewall; and managing VMware (i.e., vCenter, vCloud, Hyper-V) and Windows Server (AD, patching/upgrades). Previous experience supporting/managing Azure Cloud is also required. Experience with network security, i.e., Zero Trust, Cisco DNS Security, SASE would be a great asset. Location: Nanaimo, BC (onsite). Term: Six (6) months. High possibility of extensions.

Qualifications and Experience :

  • 6+ years of experience supporting Network and Server infrastructure in both enterprise (IT) and manufacturing (OT) environment.
  • Experience configuring and supporting Cisco Meraki Switches (i.e., MS 225), and Palo Alto Firewall.
  • Experience managing VMware infrastructure, i.e., vCenter, vCloud, Hyper-V.
  • Experience managing and supporting Windows Server (2008 and later), including Active Directory management, patching, and upgrades.
  • Experience deploying and updating software applications utilizing tool (i.e., Tanium).
  • Experience supporting and managing Azure Cloud.
  • Experience supporting Legacy applications through Citrix integrated with Azure.
  • Experience configuring VPN and global security setting.
  • Experience with network security, i.e., Zero Trust, Cisco DNS Security, SASE would be a great asset.
  • Experience utilizing Power Shell scripting for automation would be an asset.
  • Education: active industry certifications would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) in English is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
