Are you a seasoned financial controller?Or maybe someone in the accounting field withthe drive to take on more?We may havethe role for you.Shift Real Estate Management has an exciting opportunity foran Accounting Manager or Controller to join our team.Reporting to the Managing Partner, the idealcandidate will act as the financial leader, responsible for accurate and timelyaccounting functions and for supporting our leaders with data-driven insightsto strengthen our financial performance and operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for the execution and oversight of fullaccounting cycleTimely and accurate reporting for properties, projects, andfinancial purposesProviding essential financial analytics to variousdepartments to ensure a high level of project and property performanceAssist in analyzing the financial feasibility ofacquisitions and projectsEstablish, maintain and enhance internal controls, policies,and proceduresLead the selection and implementation of software that tiesour business lines togetherIdentify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs,and strengthen operational efficiencyEstablishing and tracking key metrics to ensure Shiftsucceeds in meeting strategic initiativesFinancial planning and budgeting on a project, property andentity levelAssist leadership in making business decisions by providingfinancial analysisTimely and accurate reporting to financial institutions,investors and other third-party stakeholdersInvolvement in cash flow management forecastingOther duties as assignedCredentials and Characteristics of our Ideal Candidate:Possess a proven track record in accurate accounting andreportingA desire to help take our accounting and financialmanagement to the net levelExceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communicationskills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships withtenants, vendors, team members, and investors.Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention todetailDemonstrate a strong intellectual curiosity and a drive tounderstand the underlying “why” behind processesHigh level of integrity where doing the right thing isalways top of mindCollaborative team player with a willingness to supportbroader organizational needs, even when tasks fall outside the typical scope ofthe role.Completion of a satisfactory criminal record check and aclean 3-year driver’s abstractPost secondary education in accounting3+ years of strong accounting experienceAccounting designation (CA, CPA, etc.) is considered anassetCompetitive compensation plans and employer-matched RRSPIndustry-leading benefits including health, dental,orthodontics, paramedical services and Short-Term and Long-Term DisabilityBenefitsEmployee travel rewards, so you can travel on us, startingat 5 yearsA people-centric environment, where doing the right thingand providing exceptional service comes first.Opportunity for growth and advancement within theorganization via training and continuous improvementSupport from management and other team members to help yousucceed.A stable, family-owned business that has been part of thecommunity for over 30 years #J-18808-Ljbffr
