Responsibilities Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. Lead assurance and notice-to-reader engagements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage the preparation of all types of engagements, including financial statements and related filings. Prepare corporate tax returns connected with financial statement preparation. Supervise and mentor junior staff, fostering professional growth and development. Collaborate with partners, managers, and clients to deliver accurate financial insights and recommendations. Handle ad hoc accounting and advisory tasks to support client needs. Ensure deadlines are met while maintaining the highest level of accuracy and quality in reporting. Skills and Experience Accounting Expertise: Strong background in preparing and reviewing financial statements, with knowledge of Canadian accounting standards. Leadership: Ability to effectively supervise and mentor junior staff while managing multiple priorities. Communication & Collaboration: A team player comfortable working with all levels of the organization, with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Organization: Proven ability to set priorities, stay organized, and work independently with minimal guidance. Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a public accounting firm. Education: CPA designation (or in final stages of completion) required. Extra consideration will be given to those with experience in: Audit, Tax, Financial Reporting, Assurance, Client Advisory, Public Accounting, Reconciliations, and Team Leadership.
