Location : Ottawa, OntarioType : PermanentJob #4684 Job #4684 – Terrific opportunity to join a well-established, independent financial services provider as their Financial Controller on a full‑time, permanent basis Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing full‑cycle accounting support from A‑Z. This includes managing the day‑to‑day accounting operations, while also providing the leadership team with timely reporting and insight into factors impacting growth and profitability. You will be considered a hands‑on, “roll‑up your sleeves” Controller who enjoys having variety in their day‑to‑day responsibilities. Additional duties include : Responsibilities Preparation of monthly financial statements Preparation of budget and oversight Management of payroll and benefits Bank reconciliations Record monthly commission revenue and application of the variable compensation plan Payment of all bills and expenses Provide updates to CFO on progress toward annual business plans Preparation of year‑end documents and closing of accounting system at year‑end Manage tax related activities such as HST / PST filing and tax installments This is a great opportunity to join a long‑standing organization which will guarantee you a good work‑life balance, while still offering you technical challenges to keep you interested and engaged.
