Responsibilities Assess risk on individual life, critical illness, and disability applications to establish appropriate and competitive underwriting decisions. Analyze medical and non‑medical information to identify any potential risks and issues. Take a holistic approach in overall risk assessment. Use underwriting guidelines and procedures to make informed decisions. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in completing underwriting tasks and processes. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain additional information or clarify issues related to underwriting decisions. Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure efficient execution of administrative processes. Qualifications Strong analytical skills and sound judgment. Ability to simplify and explain complex concepts. Excellent negotiation skills. Client‑ and advisor‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement. Minimum of 3‑5 years of relevant experience in medical underwriting. University degree (Bachelor’s); ALU and FLMI designations are assets. Good proficiency in French, both oral and written.
