**Position Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Mortality/Morbidity Risk Analysis - determine appropriate underwriting requirements and assign cases to the appropriate risk category by analyzing and interpreting underwriting evidence for mortality and morbidity risk assessment
- Provides technical expertise and support to client companies
- Demonstrates an ability to work productively in high pressure environment and effectively and proactively manage challenging situations.
- Act independently within specified authority.
- Actively supports the departmental management by providing input, assisting in training, leading team discussions, participating in projects, and being a positive contributor to the resolution of technical or client issues
- Contribute to a positive working environment with teamwork and a spirit of innovation
- Participates in RGA events and industry activities and fosters relationships with key clients

**Requirements**:

- College diploma / University degree or equivalent working experience
- Minimum of 3 years of underwriting experience including experience with substandard business, medical and financial underwriting
- Service-oriented attitude with strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with our internal and external partners
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Bilingual French/English (oral and written) is required given the need to communicate orally and in writing with a predominantly English-speaking clientele based outside of Quebec.
- Multiple lines of business (Life, DI, CI) an asset
