We are currently looking to add (1) one permanent full‑time and (1) one temporary full‑time position, ending in December 2026. About the Position As an HR Business Partner at AGLC, you’ll work side by side with business leaders, shaping initiatives that drive culture, performance, and engagement across the organization. This role is perfect for a savvy HR pro who enjoys being a trusted advisor, solving challenges, and implementing people‑first strategies in a dynamic and mission‑driven environment. What You'll Be Doing Partner with Leaders: Provide expert guidance on employee and labour relations, workforce planning and organizational design. Drive HR Strategy: Develop and execute HR solutions that align with the goals of AGLC. Lead Talent Initiatives: Support leadership development, performance management, and recruitment strategies. Navigate Employee Relations: Collaborate with union partners, conduct investigations and foster positive workplace relations. Change & Growth: Support change management initiatives that reinforce our strong culture. What Makes You a Great Fit? HR Expertise: University education in Business, Human Resources or related discipline, paired with a minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience, including 2–3 years in labour relations within a unionised environment. Problem‑Solving Guru: Strong skills in navigating complex workplace challenges with fairness and strategy, and a passion for creative solutions. Collaborative Leadership: Excels in partnering with internal stakeholders, providing guidance and influencing positive outcomes. Public Sector Knowledge: Experience in government, regulatory or public organisations is an asset. Legislation Savvy: Comfortable interpreting employment laws, policies and collective agreements to ensure compliance and strategic decision‑making. Additional Information To be eligible to work for AGLC, you must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or otherwise eligible to work in Canada. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates with lesser qualifications may be considered at a lower classification and salary.
