We believe in promoting from within, respecting people and their differences, providing high quality service and always having fun If you think you have what it takes to join our team, we want to meet youResponsibilitiesEssential Job Functions:Monitor the patient’s overall safety and report any changes to security and/or hospital staffEnsure the safety of all stakeholders, including patients, clinical staff and visitors with de-escalation techniquesLog and report all incidents reported by hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitors and maintain a detailed log of all patient interactionsUtilize two-way radio and computer applications for communicating site activitiesCommunicate in a truthful and receptive manner under all circumstancesMust stay alert at all timesAbility to make immediate decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with minimal supervisionDevelop thorough site knowledge, and maintain professional relationships with sites and hospital staffHandle private and confidential information with a high amount of discretionMonitor and screen visitors and clients in a professional mannerEducation and ExperienceMust have a Clean Criminal RecordMust be 18 years old and meet all other minimum requirements for a security license in the ProvinceBasic Security Training, First Aid, and/or CPI training would be considered an asset. However, a security licence is not required for this role.Authorized to legally work in CanadaSkillsDemonstrated superior customer service skills; Ability to interact confidently and proactively with the general public presenting a professional imageSuccessfully conduct security patrols up to 20km without direct supervisionAbility to remain calm and effectively perform in emergency situationsWrite comprehensive reports and maintain proper records using effective communication skillsAbility to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnelHave basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviours, and non-defensive communicationFollow and enforce safety codes, regulations, and proceduresHandle private and confidential information with a high amount of discretionAdhere to our Code of Ethics in performing job requirementsAbility to understand and follow specific instructions and proceduresEducation and LicensingFirst Aid, CPR Level CCertification Requirements (All)Additional Information / BenefitsPaladin Security has a diverse workforce.
