These projects help us in achieving multiple strategic priorities aimed at ‘co-creating living environments where life is good’ for the people we support and our staff. The position will serve as a liaison between internal and external project teams and Actionmarguerite to ensure effective communication is maintained and accessible to all stakeholders about project progress and changes. The Project Coordinator has the responsibility to identify potential risks and assist in developing strategies to keep projects on track. The Project Coordinator reports to and will work closely with the Director of Facilities and Support Services. This person will collaborate and will be expected to partner with the leadership team to help plan, organize, document and direct the activities of multiple projects. Performs all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies and procedures (i.e. utilizing personal, protective equipment as per safe work procedures). Notifies management or supervisor of all occurrences, injuries, illnesses or safety and health concerns which are likely to harm themselves, their co-workers, or any others who enter the premises.Service: Support ServicesStarting Date:As soon as possibleShift and Hours of Work: 1.0 FTE - full-time -term - hours of work will varyPay Scale: As per established salary scaleSpecifications: Term ending September 1, 2027 with 2 weeks' notice and possible extension. This position provides services to our multiple sites. Travel between sites will be required. Assignment and hours of work are subject to change at any time as per operational requirements.Closing Date: Open until filledRequired QualificationsEducation and Experience:Completed post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction related discipline such as Construction Management, Project Management, or Engineering Technology ProgramAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is an asset.1-3 years’ experience in the capacity of project coordinatorDemonstrated proficiency working in a computerized environment using MS Office, including MS Project; and Share Point.Abilities and Skills:Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in both official languages (French and English) is required. If you are not French speaking, a commitment to begin to learn French, take a course or alternate learning is expected;Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and proven ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders;Ability to read and interpret contract specifications, drawings, construction documents and blueprints.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities;Ability to retain information on a strictly confidential basis;Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgement;Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;Strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills and a high degree of accuracy and attention to details;Ability and willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies as well as to vary work hours on occasion as required in order to meet tight deadlines;Ability to demonstrate a satisfactory employment record, including attendance; andCurrent Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector and Adult Abuse Registry Check deemed satisfactory by the Employer.Knowledge:Demonstrates knowledge and support of:Applicable rules, acts and regulations and understands the importance of accuracy, security and statutory responsibilities in performing tasks;Applicable Building & Fire Codes and Regulations;Actionmarguerite’s Vision, Mission and Values and Resident Bill of Right, policies and procedures;Proficiency in safety and health legislation, standards and accepted guidelines.Ability to objectively assess worksite risks;W.H.M.I.S.All staff are hired for the facility.Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.Our organization takes its mission of service and compassion to the heart of everything we do.
