Key Responsibilities Lead a team to maintain and oversee accounting policies and procedures Oversee payroll and compliance with all government remittances Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable Oversee financial reporting, bank reconciliations, union remittances, and reconciliation of accounts Oversee and monitor reporting requirements Ensure accurate and timely documentation for all financial and accounting procedures Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience Minimum 2 years of team supervision Knowledge and experience complying with related provincial and federal regulations Strong understanding of CRA and WSIB program compliance is an asset Ability to utilize Sage 300 and similar software Demonstrated technical capacity in accounting procedures and financial management Excellent communication, attention to detail and technical skills Compensation & Benefits as the Controller Salary: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year In addition, comprehensive benefits package available after a 3-month probationary period. This is an office position About M.F. Jones | Acoustics – Drywall – Painting MF Jones was founded by Moe Jones in 1979 and immediately began working on projects across Thunder Bay. Initially focusing on painting and drywall, the company was quickly recognized for the quality of their work and began working with contractors and architects from around the area. Known throughout the region the firm also provided services to mines in the Marathon and Geraldton areas. They also frequently worked in the Kenora region, painting or providing drywall or acoustics to the hospital, Federal Building and many other spaces. With a growing demand from their clients for painting and acoustics, MF Jones quickly grew to be a reliable provider of interior and exterior framing, drywall, painting and acoustics.
