Job SummaryWe are looking for enthusiastic Camp Counsellors to inspire and engage young minds through the power of art. Work with children aged 4 to 12 in a vibrant environment, leading activities, games, and art studio sessions. Develop leadership skills and be part of a passionate team committed to creativity and exploration. Key Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate engaging studio activities and camp‑wide art projects. Prioritize safety and well‑being of campers, proactively identifying and addressing risks. Maintain camp documentation (registration, attendance, sign‑in/out logs, permission forms, health and safety forms, timesheets). Serve as primary parent/guardian contact, delivering exceptional customer service. Organize and lead games during breaks; supervise children during meals and snack times. Collaborate with Summer Camp Instructors to adapt art materials and activities to meet camper needs. Participate in mandatory training sessions and regular staff meetings. Exhibit confidence and sound judgment when making decisions for campers. Effectively resolve conflicts among campers and report incidents to the Summer Camp Director. Maintain a clean and organized studio environment and manage art supplies. Perform additional duties as required to ensure camp success. Required Skills & Competencies Passion for fine arts, arts administration, art history, or early childhood education. Experience working with children; previous camp experience is a strong asset. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to think quickly and resolve conflicts or challenges while maintaining a positive environment. Commitment to prioritizing health, safety, and well‑being of participants, staff, and volunteers. Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and camper needs. Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to foster positive relationships. Active and energetic throughout the day, including outdoor activities and games. Welcoming and inclusive attitude, valuing diversity. Legal eligibility to work in Canada and between ages 15 and 30. Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification. Possession of a HIGH FIVE® Healthy Child Development certificate; understanding of developmental milestones for children aged 4 to 12. Clear vulnerable‑sector screening to ensure a safe environment. Core Behaviours Leadership: influence and motivate others while maintaining high commitment.
