Dir. princ., Gouvernance et Contrôles Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hours per week Sector: Gouvernance et Contrôles Compensation: $108,800 - $163,200 CAD Department Overview TD Finance, Governance, Risk and Control (Finance GRC or 1B) enables and supports Finance partners in identifying, understanding, managing and mitigating risks in their operations, adhering to internal and regulatory requirements, and ensuring financial reporting risk is mitigated. In This Role, You Will Be responsible for 1B oversight, testing and reporting of Finance's key risk programs, including operational risk (technology, data, cyber risk) oversight, insights and reporting. Lead development of Finance tailored communication and training relating to risk programs, including EUC Governance, Model Risk Management, Access Management, Segregation of Duties, and other platform and technology risk standards and policies. Test, perform quality control/assurance, and assess the effectiveness of controls designed to support business risk and control owners. Proactively identify, connect the dots, and consider interdependencies across risk programs, remediation plans, and controls being designed and implemented. Lead the review of key risk indicators, insights, and development of reporting relating to these key risks for Finance. Lead the management and updating of Finance GRC Mandate, Standards, Policies, and Procedures. Provide expert advice to the Business and stakeholders on effective control considerations; ensure stakeholders are adequately trained on policy and guideline requirements. Partner with other teams and lines of defense to oversee the design and effectiveness of controls, monitoring, and testing of compliance to policies. Leverage expertise in Finance's process risks and controls to promote critical thinking and risk management. Foster an effective, transparent culture of risk awareness, accountability, ethics, integrity, and conduct. Enable proactive, data‑driven, risk‑based decision making. Job Requirements Professional accounting and/or relevant designation (CPA, CA, CISA) University degree in business, accounting, or other relevant fields 10+ years experience in an accounting/finance/audit role with internal controls/financial controls experience Financial industry experience (asset) Public accounting firm experience (asset) Technology and cyber risk management or related audit experience (asset) Ability to influence change through subject matter expertise in risk and controls, and build effective relationships with cross‑functional teams Proven ability to lead, change, and manage effectively in a matrixed environment Ability to assess or test the adequate design and operating effectiveness of controls, including financial reporting controls Effective communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex subject matter simply and clearly Knowledge of the regulatory environment in which Finance operates (SEC, IFRS, OSFI, securities regulators) Highly motivated individual with exceptional leadership, planning, and project management skills Motivation to improve processes and leverage data and technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness Ability to work with a pool of experts and ensure high levels of service across organizational boundaries Thrives in a fast‑paced, agile environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities Seniority Level Director Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Other Industries Banking #J-18808-Ljbffr
