Working with the Director of Business Development and the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer (“CBDMO”), the BDM Specialist is primarily responsible for developing and executing the business development and marketing initiatives of assigned markets, practice groups, and industry groups. This role will play both a lead and support role on key projects and initiatives, with both short and long-term goals aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities.Essential Job Functions:Work with assigned practice and industry groups and markets to develop their annual business plans and execute business plan initiatives throughout the year.Develop strategies and identify opportunities to promote the practice, increasing its visibility and positioning in the market.Assist in identifying targets and provide relevant research and strategic ideas to acquire new business.Coordinate and assist in the development of customized pitches, RFP/RFI responses, and presentations for new business opportunities.Work with the broader BDM team to develop, organize, coordinate and execute seminars, receptions, and special events taking place in the local market. Responsible for creating and managing critical dates and timelines concerning local events and sponsorships. Draft and manage all internal and external communications for programs.Evaluate key sponsorships and networking opportunities with professional organizations and associations in the local market. Coordinate all deliverables associated with office or practice-identified key sponsorships.
