Your Role As Managing Veterinarian, you will: Lead & Inspire: Cultivate a positive, high-trust environment, modelling servant leadership and fostering strong relationships between staff, clients, and doctors. Foster open communication, conflict resolution, and mutual respect throughout the team. Lead by example in decision-making, delegation, time management, and professionalism. Uphold and promote veterinary ethics, standards of care, and courteous client interactions. Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to associate veterinarians, supporting their professional growth. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, monitor performance metrics, and offer constructive feedback. Lead DVM meetings to discuss medical protocols and client service, fostering a collaborative team environment. Partner with our Hospital Manager, new to Port Hope but bringing many years of experience as an innovative and visionary leader in the healthcare industry, on technician appraisals and staff counselling sessions. Operational & Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to develop and implement growth initiatives, marketing strategies, and community programs. Oversee medical standards, SOPs, and quality of care in alignment with NVA standards. Collaborate on hiring, performance management, and resource allocation, including budgets and CE approvals. Monitor hospital performance, client compliance, and community engagement to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
