What will you work on? The Communications Specialist will contribute to Spin Master’s success by assisting in the execution of strategic employee communications, channels, and content management. They will also support the growth of our philanthropic efforts, with a goal of helping ½ million children grow and learn through play. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, the candidate will have experience in executing employee communication strategies, including drafting materials for various channels; providing creative solutions to present content using software like SharePoint, Photoshop and Adobe; coordinating philanthropy and volunteer events as well as working closely with internal teams to provide support as needed. How will you create impact? Communications Provide creative and innovative ideas and project manage through to execution, while communicating clearly and concisely. Write, edit, proofread and produce creative and compelling communication materials that resonate with the target audience (intranet, newsletter, announcements, presentations, digital signage screens, video). Leverage design skills and knowledge to conceptualize, create and deliver a variety of high quality, on‑brand visual corporate communications materials in digital and print format. Manage and post content on the Intranet as needed as well as create employee newsletter in SharePoint. Develop design concepts for presentations, posters, templates etc. aligned with Spin Master’s corporate branding. Support the development and execution of internal employee events like global townhalls, employee recognition and philanthropic activities. Calendarise, create and plan key social media content for LinkedIn company channel. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Develop CSR‑related content across a variety of platforms, including internal channels (newsletter, intranet, Benevity, etc.) and social media. Work with the local philanthropy committees, helping to execute philanthropy and volunteer activations, including our signature holiday event Caring Sharing. Support the delivery of in‑kind donations to various charitable partners within North America and collect impact reporting. Help coordinate Toy Movement missions including securing products, supporting logistics and working with charitable organizations to deliver toys to children globally. Help develop content and collect data for Spin Master’s annual CSR report by liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with the management of in‑kind donation inventory and financial contributions. What are your skills and experience? Work experience in corporate communication, employee engagement, social media or related field. Digitally Savvy – Extremely proficient with Web research, Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint, Photoshop, Illustrator, iMovie or Premiere Pro, After Effects, Spreadfast and Social Listening platforms such as Synthesio, HootSuite, and Brandwatch. Experience with graphic and web design – e.g. HTML, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator. Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Passion for working in a team environment coupled with strong communication skills, to work closely with internal teams to understand communication requirements for a diverse range of projects. Proven experience working on executive internal communications. Experience organizing philanthropy and volunteer events and coordinating with outside vendors and charitable partners. Nice to have Experience in graphic design. Experience in video creation including editing, filming and sound. Experience leading communication campaigns on social media or in a business setting. This posting is for an existing vacancy. Please note that this position requires an onsite presence four days per week. The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $55,000 to $70,000 per annum. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master ltd. is a multi‑provincial employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other provinces.
