The Credit Analyst I role supports Essex Lease Financial Corporations objectives through the review, recommendation and approval of industrial equipment finance applications . The position involves working closely with the Essex sales team, documentation specialist, and our customers to provide tailored solutions that match customer needs . This is a full-time position based in our Calgary, AB office . The position reports to the Credit Manager (AVP, Credit) as part of a collaborative team . Professional growth within the organization will be encouraged.Responsibilities:Review and recommend conventional and near-conventional credit applications, financial statement analysis, evaluation of equipment, evaluation of industry, and overall assessment of credit risk.Work closely with members of Essex’s sales and documentation teams, customers, and external sales sources.Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications.Aid in implementing and managing credit department projects.Build and maintain relationships with industry associates.Aid Essex management and stakeholders in meeting corporate goals.Core Competencies:Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Be professional, ambitious, and self-motivated with a high sense of integrity.Demonstrates strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.Exhibit strong attention to detail and data accuracy, alongside strong organizational skills.Demonstrate strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Be proficient in quickly learning new software and processes.Possess a desire to find solutions that balance customer needs and financial risks.Have a natural ability to build authentic customer relationships and interact effectively with a broad spectrum of employees at all levels.Required Education and Experience:Post-Secondary Degree in relevant field: Business Marketing, Commerce preferred but not required.Experience in the Equipment Finance / Leasing Industry preferredCompetent in the use of MS Office Suite of products, specifically ExcelCompetitive salary and annual incentive bonus.Education benefits with up to 100% reimbursement for courses.Preferred rates on financial services and home/auto insurance.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, including a health spending account.Generous vacation entitlements and flex days.Employee rewards and team events to foster work relationships. #J-18808-Ljbffr
