Intermediate EI&C Designer/Drafter at Tetra Tech The Opportunity: The Electrical, Instrumentation & Control team in Calgary, AB seeks a talented designer/drafter to contribute to innovative projects across Canada. Your Role Prepare rough sketches and detailed drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation. Perform design and technical calculations, material lists, construction details, and diagrams related to project requirements. Develop and maintain standardized drawings and symbols for the company database. Design and draft PLC panels, junction box drawings, loop drawings, control architecture drawings, building layouts, etc. Review third‑party drawings (civil, architectural, landscape, utilities) for conflicts and requested information. 3D modeling for lighting, panels, and cable trays (asset). Ensure final designs comply with client and company standards. Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards. Pursue continuous professional development and maintain discipline knowledge and awareness. Work safely at all times and report health and safety incidents. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience; experience in engineering consulting firm is a plus. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation. Experience with 3D design software (asset). Knowledge of Canadian Safety Code. Computer skills in MS Office Suite.
