A bit about the job:

We are seeking a strategic, client centric Head of Canada to join our Global Distribution team. You will report directly to the Chief Distribution Officer and be a senior member of the Distribution leadership team that spans UK, Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific. You will lead the Canadian Distribution team and leverage the broader resources of Aviva Investors including Investments, Sustainable Investing, RFP and Market Intelligence. The role itself allows you to be the voice of our clients at Aviva Investors and provide market feedback to colleagues that will contribute to the continual enhancement of our products and our business. In this role you will lead the Distribution efforts in Canada to grow the Institutional, Insurance and Wealth channels in line with objectives agreed with the Global Head of Distribution. The successful candidate will be encouraged to deliver and execute upon the Canadian Distribution business development and client retention plans across all three client channels to maintain and enhance existing client relationships whilst ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to clients.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  1. Deep understanding of public and private markets.
  2. Excellent communication skills including influencing and persuasive skills.
  3. Excellent practical knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements with a consistent record of practical compliance.
  4. Relevant post graduate qualifications e.g. CFA, CAIA, Masters in Finance, MBA.
  5. Experience of successfully defining and delivering a comprehensive sales strategy.
